The Beginning Strings program provides group violin lessons free of cost to first and second-grade students at Ellen Ochoa Elementary School, led by a Tulsa Symphony Musician Teaching Artist. Students receive twenty-four 30-minute sessions of violin instruction each school year.
This program is vital to introduce young students, especially those in underserved populations, to string instruments and set them up for success as they head into middle and high school orchestra programs.
