Doug FletcherBrass

Doug Fletcher grew up in music, with musicians populating both sides of his family for two generations back. His radio dial stuck at WCLV 95.5 fm, where among other things, a lively orchestra caught his ear – the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. Some years later after taking up the trombone, he was privileged to join the COYO and several other groups that helped prepare him for matriculating at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Jim DeSano. Ed Zadrozny provided invaluable direction during Doug’s graduate degree studies at the University of Akron. After graduating, Doug moved to Tulsa and enjoyed a summer with the Opera in the Ozarks in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and began teaching at Oral Roberts University. In the course of freelancing, he met a lovely Sooner redhead, got married, played euphonium with the Starlight Concert Band, joined Tulsa Symphony and most recently was overjoyed when his son started sleeping 12 hours in a night. Doug enjoys loudspeaker building and hifi audio as well as AutoCross racing his Miata.
